Try shopping in Dubai

Eid, popularly known as "Eid-ul-Fitr" is the holy festival of Muslims to celebrate festivity. Eid is a Muslim holiday which falls after the holy month of Ramadan in which the Muslims keep fast (Sawm). Muslims celebrate Eid on the first day of Shawwal, the tenth month of the Islamic calendar. 'Eid' means festivity in Dubai, so the festival is all about celebration from the core of your heart. So try travelling to Dubai to soak in the fun.

Eid al-Fitr has a particular Salat (Islamic prayer) consisting of two Rakats (units) and generally offered in an open field or large hall.It may be performed only in congregation (Jama’at) and, has an additional extra six Takbirs (raising of the hands to the ears while saying "Allāhu Akbar", literally "God is greatest"), three of them in the beginning of the first raka'ah and three of them just before Ruku' in the second raka'ah in the Hanafi school of Sunni Islam. Other Sunni schools usually have twelve Takbirs, seven in the first, and five at the beginning of the second raka'ah. This Eid al-Fitr salat is, depending on which juristic opinion is followed, Fard (obligatory), Mustahabb (strongly recommended, just short of obligatory) or mandoob (preferable).

Take a bath and dress in clean clothes. Give Zakaat al fitr to the needy. Exchange gifts with your friends. It's desirable to come out to the prayer-place on Eid al-Fitr after eating some dates, because of the hadeeth narrated by al-Bukhaari from Anas ibn Maalik who said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) would not go out on the morning of Eid al-Fitr until he had eaten some dates… and he would eat an odd number.”(Bukhaari, 953). Go shopping in Dubai for this day, and buy food items and clothes. People buy variety of items which includes gifts, sweets, clothes, food items etc. before eid.

Offer Salaah early in the morning in an Eidgah with other Muslims. Listen to the Khutbah (Eid speech) if you wish to or just leave if you don't. Go out one by one route and come back by another for Eid prayers ->Jaabir ibn ‘Abd-Allaah (may God be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon him) used to vary his routes on the day of Eid.(Bukhaari) It was said that this was so that the two different routes would testify in his favour on the Day of Resurrection, because on that Day the earth will speak about everything that was done on it, good and evil. Hug people. This festival has a feeling of brotherhood in it. All the persons hug each other on this day regardless of caste or creed. Pray. Eid prayer consists of a sermon followed by a short congregational prayer. After the prayers, start visiting your relatives, eat sweets and 'sewiah', give gifts to children that you brought while shopping in Dubai, donate something to the poor and needy and shower blessings and love upon everybody.
