Enjoy the delightful experience of camping in Dubai

The weather during the winters is perfect to get away from the bustling city life and head to a serene tranquil life surrounded by nature — be it in the desert or near the mountain. For a weekend getaway in the deserts with family and friends, it is important to make a check list of all the essentials you may need, as well as ensuring that all the equipment meets safety standards. But the to-do-list does not stop there and once you hit base, it is vital to take all the necessary safety precautions to ensure you have a safe trip. There are two types of outdoor staying trips in this land of luxury — long term and overnight. Long term stays are regulated and require permits, while outdoor enthusiasts may camp at any place that takes their fancy.

While you are on your trip, you are excited about the life in the desert, your tent, your food, the night breeze, everything! But let’s begin with one thing at a time. First, the tent! When you start with your off-road UAE venture, you must make sure that your tent is set up at the right place. The site should not be in low areas such as stream valleys, or next to a cliff, and the tent site should also not be set up at the base of a cliff.Tents should be set up far away from cooking stations or where wood is burned, and be a safe distance from fuel depots, fuel storage tanks, generators and electricity poles. Also, tents should be in high areas far enough from water tide levels.Campers are also advised to avoid mud floors which may be infested with scorpions, ants and other insects. Using flat lands that are free of stones and potholes is always advisable. It is also prudent to avoid shallow or semi-marsh areas in which water may appear as a result of a rise in sea-level.
Tents should be made from non-flammable and non-absorbent materials that are equipped with the essential ventilation holes to allow proper ventilation. They must also be set up tightly so as not to fall or fly away in the event of strong winds and ropes must be kept in a length that is safe and will not cause people to trip and fall. You wouldn't want to go home with a big cut on the hand that reminds you of the blunder you did at your off road UAE journey.

The maximum size of a winter camp is limited to a maximum of 300 square meters, and once the camp is registered, a wooden plaque in A3 size is placed outside it. Living in Dubai is fun, just make sure you follow all the rules and you will have a memorable and pleasurable time.
Always be game for fun while you are camping in this beautiful land. Being too choosy may spoil the real fun and may not allow you to enjoy this raw and enriching experience. Make sure you carry enough warm blankets while you out camping and portable mobile chargers are always advisable.  You can carry sun protection, scissors, wet wipes and other daily use items too. Make the best of your opportunity of living in Dubai. It is the land of royalty, live regally and enjoy your stay!

Despite the fun and adventure of this experience, there are some general precautions that must be taken. The best precaution is to always have plenty of water and full tank of fuel. You may need some back up if you want to trek deep into the desert. Make sure you tell someone where you are going and when you will be back. While enjoying this off road UAE experience, make sure you check the weather and sea reports- wadis can become soggy in the rainy season and flash floods do occur. The temperature usually drops down by 10 degrees in the night, so make sure you carry some warm clothes with you.
